Join nationally recognized speaker Camara Jones, MD, MPH, PhD and Rex Archer MD, MPH for a RFS / AAPHP program in which gun violence will be addressed as a public health crisis.  They will consider components of what a public health response might look like. This will include looking at the social determinants of health including poverty and the social determinants of equity including racism.    They will some insights for individual physicians and other health care professionals who wish to be part of the solution as they interact with their patients and their communities.  Co-sponsored by American Association of Public Health Physicians, LGBT Advisory Committee, Minority Affairs Section, Resident & Fellow Section, Women Physicians Section, Young Physicians Section.
